I had the pleasure of photographing Mylene’s 2 week old newborn twin boys this past weekend. They join two older brothers, ages 7 and 3. They were so tiny and sweet, both weighing in just a little over 5 lbs. each. I found that synchronized feeding got them both sleepy at the same time (for those fellow photographers wondering how to photograph twins). Their big brothers were so very sweet and doting over their new baby brothers. Both grandmothers were also there to help out. I love when a family comes together. Oh, and Mylene’s mom wouldn’t let me leave their house without eating first. She was so sweet. =) I was all about feeding the models, but she wanted to make sure the photographer ate too.

Ingrid - Thanks Tunji. I used cotton jersey material, like an old t-shirt cut up. Swaddling newborns helps to calm them when they’re fussy. They feel more secure when their limbs aren’t flailing about.
