Plantagenet Omrah Pinot Noir

Share

While I was in San Diego last month, I ate at an Australian restaurant called Bondi in the Gaslamp Quarter (downtown San Diego). A friend of mine ordered the Omrah Pinot Noir and it was love at first sip. I tried to find it here in VA, to no avail, but lucked out by finding an online vendor (Old Bridge Cellars) who shipped 3 bottles to me from CA. It was $36/bottle at the restaurant, but online it was only $17/bottle through Old Bridge Cellars. I ordered it last weekend and it arrived today. Not a bad turnaround time. So if you want to try something new, I recommend this happiness in a bottle. Oh, and I love the personal touch with the hand-written note included with my package. =) Great customer service from Old Bridge Cellars. Kudos!

Here is the product info from the Old Bridge Celllars website:

Deep, vibrant crimson in color. The nose offers distinctive Pinot Noir spice and vibrant cherry and raspberry fruits with subtle vanillin undertones derived from oak maturation. Supple and smooth, the palate displays lashings of sweet fruit, finely polished tannins and balanced acidity that provides a finely poised backbone, great length and impressive focus.

Cammie - One final down and one more to go…a nice wine would be the perfect way to celebrate all the good things in life right now! Enjoy a (full) glass for me. :-)

Ingrid - Absolutely!
