Eric and Farah welcomed their son Zaiden into the world on Farah’s birthday, of all days. =) What a wonderful birthday present! He was so mellow and sleepy for most of his session, until his hunger kicked in. I sense a little growth spurt coming on. Eric wanted to get his token baseball shot in. I love it!

Alison and Joe welcomed their daughter Charlie to the world a week ago. Little miss was blessed with her father’s curls – not that you can tell from his streamlined haircut. I got a few quick photos with mom, dad, grandma and grandpa and a few of Charlie before she decided she wasn’t feeling it that day. So I’ll go back another day. Babies have their own way of wanting to do things, so I didn’t want to rush her before she was ready. Joe was a trooper and intent on soothing his little girl. I love it. =)

Last month I had the honor and pleasure of joining fellow photographer Beth Kubovcik as we photographed another fellow photographer’s (Erin J. Rexroth) 4 day old baby girl. What a treat! I was dying over her sweet little cleft chin. She slept the entire time… aside from the few potty break she took on mommy. Oops! Thanks to Erin and her family for allowing us to invade her home and play with her new little girl. Every time someone asks me what my favorite subject is to photograph, I have to say that it is hands-down newborn babies. I never get tired of the sweet tiny newness of a newborn. That’s a mouth full, but it is true. It never gets old. Here are a few peeks at wee little Harper:
