And well dressed, I might add. It was so wonderful to work with Erin, Brian and their family again. It’s been 8 months since I saw them last… Cooper was just 3 days old. My how time flies! He’s such a happy little guy too. Ella is such a sweet, doting big sister. She was also quite the star in DC. We were mobbed by a group of Chinese tourists. At first it was one Chinese lady snapping her photo, then there was a whole flurry of them. Ella was quite the novelty with her blonde hair and blue eyes. Her parents were gracious and Brian surprised me by talking to the ladies in Chinese. Impressive! I was a bit shell shocked by all the cameras that came out of nowhere. Hindsight, I wish I had snapped a photo of the crowd. Ah well. Now I know how celebrities feel when they get mobbed by the paparazzi. Erin’s parents and brother Brent were able to join us. So great to meet new faces!

I have been blessed with yet another gorgeous expecting couple. Eric and Farah are expecting their first baby (a boy) this month and I cannot wait to meet him. If his parents are any indication, he is going to be one beautiful baby. =)

I don’t get a lot of opportunities to share much of my boudoir work on my blog, but LF was gracious enough to allow me to share her sneak peek. I’ve been photographing boudoir since 1992, but don’t advertise it very often… especially here on the east coast where folks seem a bit more conservative than I’m used to on the west coast. But I do offer it. Makes an excellent gift for a significant other or even for yourself to capture your beauty and youth. Every woman is beautiful, you just have to own your beauty. LF definitely owns hers.

RJ & DJ welcomed their sweet baby Charlotte into the world 2 weeks ago. She is so long for a newborn. I think she got her dad’s height. Future supermodel maybe? =) She is absolutely precious. Congrats!

I feel like I was hand-delivered characters from a Nicholas Sparks novel. At least this is what they look like in my head when I read one of his books. Seriously.

I got a call from RJ yesterday saying his wife DJ was due to deliver their first baby this weekend and they wanted maternity photos. As luck would have it, my husband was home on vacation today and I am leaving for San Francisco tomorrow, so I was able to squeeze them in this morning. Thank goodness for schedules aligning! I thank my lucky stars for throwing these gorgeous families my way. =) I seriously love my job and am happy when I can accommodate people at the last minute. You just never know until you call or email!

I met up with the Tanya, Audrey, Julia, and their grandma and grandpa in DC for some family photos. It was a gorgeous day, with a deceiving bite in the air. I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to these east coast winters. But it sure is beautiful. =) There is so much to see and do in our Nation’s Capital.

I am always so tickled to see the changes in the little people I photograph. Abby is an energetic 3 year old and curious about the world around her. Lily isn’t far behind and on the brink of walking solo. Such sweet, sweet girls. Thank you Jon and Brooke for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful family again. The girls are such scrumptious little balls of joy. =)

This morning I met up with Mitch, Kelly, and Riley (a fellow Navy family) in D.C. Little Miss Riley was an absolute happy ray of sunshine. No doubt about it. She sang the Smurfs theme song for me… we jumped, twirled, threw leaves, and danced. So much fun. She is going to be a big sister very soon. Mom Kelly is due to deliver a baby sister on Christmas Eve! Cross your fingers that she makes her debut a little before or a little after Christmas. December is going to be an absolute treat for me. I adore fresh newborn goodness. So stay tuned!

Steve was referred to me by our mutual stylist Sammy of Frizzles Hair Salon in Old Town Alexandria (ask for Sammy, he is FANTASTIC… tell him Ingrid sent you). Steve wanted some updated photos, so we hit Old Town and Georgetown to capture some different looks. He was definitely game for using my green couch, so I lugged it back out to Old Town and am so glad I did. Steve, thanks for a fun shoot. You were great to work with. I’m sharing a few of my personal favorites from today. I did everything I could to get Steve to laugh. He’s got great teeth, why not show them off, right? And rebel that I am, I had to defy the “No Trespassing” sign. Shhhhhh… don’t tell.
